Grilled Cuban Paninis

This is my twist to the Cuban original. I like to build it, then grill it. It makes the bread crispy, the meat warm and the cheese melted.
  • 4 French bread slices
  • 4 Tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 4 dill pickle stackers
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices Virginia ham
  • 4 Tablespoons roast pork, chopped or pulled
  1. Lay the bread slices flat and spread the mustard on both sides.
  2. Add 2 pickle slices per slice on top of the mustard, then the Swiss cheese on top of them.
  3. Add ham and then add the pork on top of the ham.
  4. Make sandwich and grill until bread is nice and toasty and cheese is melted. It's just like making a panini so you can put a large heavy pan on top to make it a true panini.

Makes 2 paninis.
