Asparagus and Goat Cheese Cast Iron Pizza

Makes 1, 12” pizza


  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • ½ cup pesto
  • 1 3 oz. log goat cheese
  • Parmesan cheese, optional


  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, place a large cast iron skillet in the oven. Form the pizza dough into desired shape.
  2. Separate the asparagus into half. Cut ½ the asparagus into 1” pieces and using a vegetable peeler, peel the remaining ½.
  3. Remove cast iron skillet from the oven, lay dough in the skillet and top with pesto, asparagus and goat cheese. Bake until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Remove and top with parmesan cheese if desired.
