Chocolate Dippers



  • ½ cup bittersweet chocolate chips


  • Strawberries
  • Dried apricots
  • Graham Crackers
  • Dried Pineapple Rings
  • Whole-Wheat Pretzel Twists
  • Clementine Sections
  • Pecan Halves

Toppings: 2 tablespoons each

  • Lime Salt
  • Chopped nuts (pistachios or macadamias)
  • Chopped dehydrated fruit (bananas or raspberries)
  • Cocoa nibs
  • Crystallized ginger
  • Turbinado Sugar


Melt it:

  1. Place about a ½ cup bittersweet chocolate chips in a small glass bowl.
  2. Microwave on Medium for 1 minute.
  3. Stir then continue microwaving in 20-second intervals, until melted, stirring after each interval.
  4. Or melt in the top of a double boiler, over hot, but not boiling water.

Dip it:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, or wax paper.
  2. Dip ½ to 2/3 of each dipper into the melted chocolate.
  3. Let the excess drip back into the bowl.
  4. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the topping on the chocolate.
  6. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

Store it:

  1. Refrigerate fresh fruit in an air tight container for up to 1 day.
  2. Store pretzels, crackers, and dried fruit airtight at room temperature for up to 3 days.
