Holiday Cookies



  • Store bought cookie dough
  • Fondant
  • Flour for rolling
  • Cornstarch for rolling
  • Water
  • Decorations (optional including sprinkles and icing)


  1. Make sure the dough is refrigerator cold before rolling
  2. Preheat oven to package specifications
  3. Roll cookie dough to 1/8 inch thick
  4. Cut shapes using holiday cutters and space evenly on lined or nonstick cookie tray
  5. Place tray in the freezer for 20 minutes or until the dough is thoroughly cold
  6. Remove cookie from freezer and place directly into the hot oven
  7. Bake per specifications
  8. Allow to cool
  9. Use cornstarch to roll fondant to 1/8 inch thick or thinner
  10. Cut shapes using same cookie cutters and stick fondant shapes to cookies using a little water
  11. Decorate cookies using icing and sprinkles
