Mini Grilled Cheese

  • your favorite tomato soup, prepared or homemade
  • small, wide mouth, shot glasses
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
  • butter, for greasing the pan
  1. Heat the soup and set aside, keeping warm while you prepare the grilled cheese. 
  2. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a frying pan, while it is melting assemble the sandwiches- with two pieces of cheese in between two slices of bread.
  3. Cook the sandwiches until the bread is browned and the cheese is melted. Remove from heat and either use cookie cutters to create small sandwiches or cut into 4 tiny triangles
  4. Pour the tomato soup into the shot glasses, hooking a small "sandwich" on the top of each glass.
