Mint Chocolate Trifle

  • 1 prepared chocolate cake (without icing) 
  • 2 packages of chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups of chopped chocolate mint cookies
  • 4 cups of whipped cream, or whipped topping
  • crushed candy canes or mints for garnishing the top
  1. Take your prepared cake and cut it into cubes, set aside. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions and make sure it is fully set and cooled before using.
  2. In this order layer into your trifle bowl, filling up each layer until it covers the one under it- chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, whipped cream, chopped cookies. Continue until the bowl is completely full- with the last layer being the chopped cookies. Garnish with mints across the top
  3. Place in the refrigerator until ready to serve


**Cook's Note: I've found this tastes the best if made the night before and kept in the fridge for 24 hours. This allows the flavors to mix together well.

**This can also be made as individual trifles in small glasses or jars
